Formation of SleetClan
Context
SleetClan began as a loner pack known as the Pack of Falling Sleet. Not much is known about its very beginnings, other than it was structured similarly to the clans themselves. They shared the same hierarchy, despite a difference in names. The pack members' names were longer and more descriptive, although they were typically shortened and their full names were rarely used in casual conversation. They had their own rituals, their own ceremonies, their own traditions, yet lacked a belief in LightClan.
The formation of SleetClan
After generations of Commanders from the same family, Glittering Frost during Moonhigh, or Glitteringfrost, was the first to not have any relation to the previous Commander. She soon opened the Pack of Falling Sleet to be open to anyone who wished to join. Cats from all walks of life, either as former clan cats or loners and rogues, were accepted with open arms into the pack. Within moons, the pack grew too big to be considered a pack, and Glitteringfrost knew this. Bearing a strong belief in LightClan, she enlisted the help of Petrelfrost, a former medicine cat of MeadowClan, to get the other clans' support for a fifth clan.
At the next Gathering, Glitteringfrost and Petrelfrost petitioned the clans and asked for their approval to allow a new clan from the outside. Even with some disapproval, especially from Wolfstar of MeadowClan, the other four clans, including LightClan, allowed the Pack of Falling Sleet to become a clan. After a move from their old camp to a place closer to the clans, Glitteringfrost renamed the Pack of Falling Sleet to SleetClan and received her nine lives, becoming the first official leader of SleetClan.
